Interested in joining the team of freelance costumed interpreters at Artemis?

We are seeking to expand our team of freelance interpreters. We are looking for graduate actors with a passion for history and excellent communication skills. Our work is varied and for those with an interest in interpreting our heritage in a lively and interesting way, this is the job for you.

Our school workshops are led by characters from history who bring a particular period of history to life. The workshops follow a structured lesson plan, that is designed to develop key skills that are essential to Scotland’s Curriculum for Excellence.

Our performances are part of public programmes at heritage sites and museums. They are designed to be engaging and convey a sense of the period. All historical information and performance details are provided.

A basic disclosure certificate less than 12 months old is an essential requirement as is experience of working with children. Knowledge of the Curriculum for Excellence and an interest in history is desirable.
