On the 10th and 17th July you can meet Lord Darnley, husband of Mary, Queen of Scots, at Linlithgow Palace
between 12-4 and discover why the Renaissance Court was a place to be seen in your best clothes. Darnley spent some time at the Palace where he practised his tennis skills and complained that all his balls went missing probably in the loch!
From the 24th Mary of Guise will be in residence in all her finery. Mary of Guise, sometimes referred to as the “Other Mary” is the mother of Mary, Queen of Scots.
Linlithgow Palace is where her daughter was born and where she was informed of the death of her husband. Mary is very much the Renaissance Queen with the magnificent clothes to reveal her status in society. Come along and meet her majesty.
Suitable for all the family and included in the admission price.
