It was on this day 20 years ago that Artemis Scotland came into being in the world of heritage interpretation. Jackie Lee stepped out into Dumfries Museum as Mrs Gladys Scott, a housewife on the Home Front in 1942. There was no social media then and digital photography was in its infancy, so there is no record of the event apart from a diary entry and an invoice!
To celebrate our 20th birthday, here you find Jackie and Chris in St Cecilia’s Hall, part of the Music Museum of Edinburgh University demonstrating that conversation in the 18th century was more than just words. Thanks to Written in Film for filming our performance on that evening and providing us with such a fabulous record of what we do.
