This one-day Museums Practice seminar run by the Museums Association at The Discovery Museum, Newcastle, will look at how museums across the UK can make wellbeing central to their organisational aims, develop successful and long-lasting partnerships with external organisations and make the most of funding opportunities available.
Chris Lee of Artemis will be giving a paper on the important role museums can play in the care of those who live with dementia. His personal experience as a carer, and his museum experience as the former Senior Curator at Paisley Museum, has resulted in his development of a series of courses that help those who have dementia and those who care within the home environment, care-homes and hospitals and the role museums could play.
