National Museum of Rural Life: Evacuees

From the 7 – 11 March, your class can find out what it would be like to be an evacuee at the beginning of the Second World War. On arrival at the Museum you will meet “Miss Moffat” who will take to back to September 4th 1939, your first day in your new school as an evacuee and you will find out about gas mask drill, what to do in an air raid and what your school life will be like.

Your pupils will also find out what it would be like to live on a farm as a visit to the farm will be included in the session.
